French iPhone Announced

iphone_small.jpgEverything seems to go as expected. Yesterday, the German iPhone was announced and today we found out that a French version will also be available in November. The official carrier will, as expected, be France Telecom SA’s Orange who earlier today reported; “we have signed the agreement.”

The exact date hasn’t yet been confirmed but France Telecom says that they will begin selling it before Christmas, probably in November. Since both the UK and German versions will be available on November 9th, it would be logical to expect the same in France.

Now the question remains when the iPhone will reach the rest of Europe. I know a lot of people are waiting for it in Scandinavia but they’ll probably have to wait a little longer before it arrives. Before Christmas would be optimal, I suppose, but I doubt it will happen so soon.
