German iPhone Announced

iphone_small.jpgWow, that was fast. Yesterday we were wondering when the iPhone would be released in other European countries and today we got our answer. Well, at least for Germany. Apple issued a press release today, telling us that the exclusive carrier will, as expected, be T-Mobile Germany.

Hamid Akhavan, CEO of T-Mobile International, comments; “I am proud that Apple and T-Mobile have become partners. The best mobile device currently on the market will soon be operating on the best network in the country.”

The phone will cost €399, which is about $550, and it will be sold in Deutsche Telekom shops around the country, and of course in the T-Mobile web shop as well. The release date is the same as in UK; November 9th. People are talking about a French iPhone announcement tomorrow and we’ll see what happens. But logically, France would be next and tomorrow would be the date.
