New iPod Nano Colors & Form
A lot of people are speculating about the iPod Nano, saying that the device is overdue and that an update will come soon. 9to5mac.com claims their “secret sources in China” has confirmed that the new Nano will be available in the following colors:
- Black-matte
- Silver
- Cranberry/Wine Red
- Lighter Blue
- Light Green
They also gave us preview colors to look at, which we have reproduced for this post. Note that the colors vary from monitor to monitor due to different brightness, contrast, etc. But at least they give us a pretty good idea of what the result will look like. Now what about the form factor?
As always with Apple, nobody knows anything for sure. But rumors say that the display will cover half of the new Nano’s surface. A commentator at 9to5mac.com made a mockup of it, as you can see to the right. If you think it’s ugly then remember that, even if the rumors are true, this guy probably doesn’t have the same attention to detail as the Apple design team.
Can these rumors be trusted? Well, a rumors can never be completely trusted because then it wouldn’t be a rumor. But as seen in the comments of the post at 9to5mac, the blogger is willing to risk his entire reputation on this. Mac Rumors writes that 9to5mac is a relative newcomer but that the blog has made accurate reports before.
